U.S.A. Visa Application Form (DS 160) Filling guidelines:

Before you fill the form please go through the following instruction:

• Please answer all questions. Your answers must be in English and must use English characters, except when you are asked to provide your full name in your native alphabet. Letters like ñ, é, ü, ç are not recognized by the system.
• If there is no activity for 20 minutes or more in the process of completing this online application, your session will expire and all data that you have entered into the current page will be lost.
• Application will be automatically saved each time you click the “Next” button. If you need to stop your application before submitting it, you should record the Application ID displayed on the top right-hand corner. You will need this Application ID to continue your application at a later date. You will be able to retrieve your un submitted application for the next 30 days. To complete your application after 30 days, you can permanently save the application to a disk or to your hard drive. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the last page you have completed and follow the instructions to save the application data to a file.
• Please have your passport, previous visa information (if applicable), and any other documents relevant to your intended travel to the United States ready and available for your reference before you start the application process
• Review the information you entered for accuracy.
• Print the confirmation page.
• Print the confirmation page with you at all steps during the visa application process.

Instructions for completing the online Non-immigrant Visa Application:

• Here you have to select a location where you will be applying for this visa 
• If you are from India and do not know the location where you have to apply visa please click this link http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/service.html and find your location
• If you are from other cuntries and do not know the location where you have to apply visa please click this link http://www.usembassy.gov/index.html and find your location

Then You Can see following option 

Option A - Start a New Online Application (select this option to start your new application)
Option B - Upload a Previously Saved Application Using a File(to continue completing an existing application or to start a new one using previously saved data: )
Option C - Retrieve Application Using an Application ID

• If you are filling first time >>>Then click on Start Application --->>>>>>then it will lead to you to another page where "Application Information"

• Surnames -Enter all surnames as listed in your passport. If only one name is listed in your passport, enter that Surname.
• Given Names-If your passport does not include a given name, please enter 'FNU' in Given Names.
• Other Names-Other names used include your maiden name, religious name, professional name, or any other names which are known by or have been known by in the past.
• Select Sex-male or Female
• Select Martial status
• Date of Birth-If day or month is unknown, enter as shown in passport.
• Country of Birth-The name of the country should be the name that is currently in use for the place where you were born.
